Linda Henry Boving

Linda started her career as a commercial artist. She began designing collectibles over 25 years ago. That career started in 1980 at world famous doll designer, Lee Middleton’s kitchen table where she learned to sculpt her first doll. Her skills include sculpting porcelain and vinyl dolls, one of a kind fairies and mermaids and creating original mohair bears.
Having won awards in several national competitions, Linda has also been nominated for the international TOBY award for the Teddy Bear Design Concept of the Year. She was honored to win the international DOTY award for her Lee Middleton Doll, “Home Tweet Home”.
In 1990 she began designing dolls and bears for several manufacturers, including The Marie Osmond Doll Collection, L. L. Knickerbocker Creations, The Annette Funicello Bear Collection, The Georgetown Collection, Lee Middleton Dolls, and The Disney Catalog.
Linda has toured the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan, exhibiting her dolls and bears in both international and private shows. She has also been a featured artist at both Disneyland and Disney World. Her dolls have been sold on QVC,
The Home Shopping Network, Japan’s Fuji TV and in retail outlets around the world.
Linda is also an author and illustrator of children’s books. Her work has been featured in Woman’s World Magazine, J C
Penney’s Christmas Catalog, Teddy Bear and Friends Magazine, Teddy Bear Review and England's Teddy Bear Times magazine. and in such books as "Who's Who in Bearmaking", the "Teddy Bear & Friends Price Guide”, "Contemporary Teddy Bear Price Guide", "Tribute to Teddy Bear Artists", "The Teddy Bear Sourcebook" and “The Doll Sourcebook".
